2N has developed a new module for the 2N® Helios IP Verso door intercom. It is a built-in induction loop for communicating with people with hearing disabilities.
The built-in induction loop for the 2N® Helios IP Verso intercom transmits audio directly to hearing aids fitted with a telecoil receptor. This aids people with hearing impairment to hear and perceive sounds better. Hearing aid users will therefore find it significantly easier to communicate through the intercom, for example with reception, information services, or security.
The induction loop also includes three large pictograms for users with impaired vision to signal the status:
- Ringing - the intercom is dialling and establishing a connection
- Call - the visitor can speak to an appropriate person in the building
- Door open - an appropriate person opened the door and allowed the visitor to enter the building
Similarly to other modules the induction loop draws power and is controlled directly from the basic unit of the 2N® Helios IP Verso intercom. The loop comes not only with an integrated antenna but also an option for connecting an external antenna for increased signal range.
