2N IP intercoms and 2N® Access Unit support failsafe locks
The new version brings support for failsafe locks, web configuration of 2N Helios IP Vario display

2N issued the new firmware version 2.13 for 2N Helios IP door intercoms and the 2N® Access Unit access system in mid September. The new version brings support for failsafe locks, web configuration of the 2N® Helios IP Vario display, improved recording of user sounds and many additional improvements.

  • Support for failsafe locks – The failsafe lock is closed when voltage is activated and open once voltage is interrupted. These locks are used, for example, in escape exits. During a power outage a failsafe lock will open, allowing people to escape from the building. 2N IP intercoms and 2N® Access Unit support failsafe locks.
  • Setting the display of the 2N® Helios IP Vario intercom – Display settings can now be selected directly from the intercom’s web interface. The 2N® Access Commander software version 1.2.0 to be issued towards the end of September 2015 will also allow configuration of the display.
  • Recording user’s own sounds – The user can now record new user sounds directly from the intercom’s web interface. All that is needed is a microphone.
  • Embedding video in own web pages – The embed code for embedding video in different web pages is now available in the intercom’s web interface. This facilitates embedding the intercom video in web applications in a manner usual in IP cameras.
