The Dialer App allows users to conveniently carry their conference settings with them and easily manage calls
Biamp's Tesira® was named a finalist in the Best Distance Learning System category

Biamp Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems, recently announced that AV Technology Magazine has named the Biamp Dialer App the Best New App to Manage AV Systems. The Dialer App was selected as a winner and awarded the recognition as a part of the AV Technology Awards Ceremony at InfoComm 2012.

"People increasingly want to be able to use devices like the iPad in the office," said Steve Metzger, president of Biamp Systems. "The Dialer App gives users the ability to take their contacts with them, to quickly initiate and control a conference call wherever a Biamp conferencing product is installed. Biamp is committed to this type of technological development, and our goal is to provide useful new ways for end users to use Biamp products."

The 2012 AV Technology Awards is an industry award program that recognises outstanding AV end users, tech managers, facility directors, and the product manufacturers that provide reliable, easy-to-operate, and forward-thinking products. Winners are recognized for new hardware or software products that are easy to operate, provide return on investment, and equip a facility for technological evolution.

In judging the Biamp Dialer App, judges stated, "The Biamp Dialer App is exactly what we need — no more hardware accessories or complex touch panel programming. This app makes sense for the user."

The Dialer App allows users to conveniently carry their conference settings with them and easily manage calls facilitated by Biamp's Audia® and Nexia® product lines. Using the app interface, users can access their contact list to initiate conference calls rather than using a dial pad and manually entering phone numbers. The app offers incoming/outgoing level controls and a speed dial function for even greater convenience and control.

In addition to the Dialer App, Biamp's Tesira® was named a finalist in the Best Distance Learning System category. Tesira is Biamp's first networked media system to use AVB as the primary digital media transport.

The Biamp Dialer is available in the Apple App Store? for $4.99.
