The company’s area manager for Central America, Ernesto Montanez, will also present a session titled Understanding AVB and its Advantages
Biamp also presents TesiraFORTE line of AVB digital signal processors speaking session at the event

Biamp Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems, recently announced its commercial audio systems showcase and speaking session for TecnoMultimedia InfoComm Colombia 2014. Held in Bogotá from Nov. 6-7 at the Corferias convention center, the event will bring the company’s award-winning TesiraFORTE line of Audio Video Bridging (AVB) digital signal processors to the trade show floor for the first time — allowing attendees to get an up-close look at the newly launched technology during demonstrations in the Biamp® booth 58. The company’s area manager for Central America, Ernesto Montanez, will also present a session titled “Understanding AVB and its Advantages” on Nov. 6 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Part of the flagship Biamp Tesira® 2.0 platform, TesiraFORTE extends AVB to application-specific settings to facilitate digital signal processing for everyday and enterprise-grade audio requirements. Available in eight preconfigured models (four AVB models and four non-AVB models) with fixed input and output configurations, TesiraFORTE leverages existing cabling infrastructures to enable cost-effective installations in any networked audio framework. Tesira 2.0 also includes Biamp’s new Dante™ enabled DAN-1 digital server networking card, which functions as a gateway interface to support 64x64 channels of Dante networked audio.

Biamp’s speaking session will focus on how integrators can use AVB to transport audio and video easily over Ethernet networks in order to bridge the gap between AV and IT systems. The presentation will help participants understand the technology’s future role in networking as well as how AVB can simplify network infrastructures, reduce implementation costs, and successfully deliver next-generation audio and video applications. Attendees will walk away with the knowledge of how to plan, design, and implement a seamless, interoperable AVB system throughout their installations.

“Voted ‘Best of Show’ at InfoComm in Las Vegas, our TesiraFORTE line is designed to facilitate the implementation of networked audio by removing the need for customers to implement any additional cabling infrastructure,” said Montanez. “On display for only the second time in Latin America, we look forward to demonstrating how the solution’s setting-specific models can powerfully enhance audio delivery in addition to discussing the exciting AV networking possibilities for AVB.”

Based in Mexico City, Montanez oversees all sales and installations within the region. With more than fifteen years of hands-on experience in sourcing and promotion of audio systems, he is specialised in IT within AV installations and has successfully managed solutions for large-scale installations within venues such as stadiums, convention centers, hospitals, airports, and offshore platforms. An engineer, Montanez has previously worked with Bosch Security Systems and Sennheiser Electronics and holds a degree in audio engineering from Universidad Tecnologica Vicente Perez Rosales.
