The new appointees will be based in Hong Kong and report to Matthew Packer, Asia Pacific Regional Director |
Biamp Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems, recently announced two additions to the Asia Pacific Sales Team: Tomi Kallio and Wayne Cheung, both of whom will be based in Hong Kong and report to Matthew Packer, Asia Pacific Regional Director.
Kallio has been appointed as the new Area Manager for Southeast Asia, Japan and Korea. He has extensive experience working with international sales teams throughout the Asia Pacific and beyond, working directly with end users of high-end videoconferencing equipment and professional audio installations.
Having been immersed in the AV industry for over 20 years, Kallio has first-hand experience in every position along the life cycle of an AV project. From repair technician to account management to new business development and sales engineering, Tomi has a unique understanding of how AV projects and designs work best.
Filling the Area Manager position for Greater China, Wayne Cheung will oversee all sales and installations in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Cheung brings more than a decade of collaborative team and project management skills to the role.
In his previous positions at a consulting company and more recently a system integrator, Cheung was the primary conduit for all current and incoming project information. He was responsible for project development and management, and he also oversaw project installations. Ensuring a quality customer experience was also part of his duties as he attended client project meetings and personally monitored on-site installation progress. He brings a wealth of experience with large-scale networked audio and video systems.
"We couldn't be happier to have both Tomi and Wayne join our sales team. They both bring a breadth of experience to the work we do throughout this region." said Matthew Packer, Regional Director of Asia Pacific Region. "Both Tomi and Wayne are top-level project and account managers who will no doubt continue their excellent work and build long-lasting relationships with Biamp customers, integrators and industry colleagues."
