Biamp to showcase its Canvas control software at InfoComm 2013 in Orlando

Biamp Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems, is pleased to announce the addition of ceiling microphones to the product line, and the release of Biamp Canvas design control software for Tesira.

Biamp has partnered with Audix, an Oregon-based manufacturer of high quality microphones, to bring their integrator partners Biamp-branded microphones. The CM1-6W and CM1-6WS gooseneck ceiling microphones provide quality performance and easy installation.

Available at the end of July 2013, the microphones are 6" miniaturized, gooseneck condenser microphones with fully integrated preamps designed with very high sensitivity for distance pickup. They are available with a cardioid or supercardioid capsule for installation flexibility. The new line of microphones offers a unique combination of coverage pattern, audio quality, pleasing aesthetics, and significant noise cancelling abilities when paired with the appropriate DSP technology such as Sona acoustic echo cancellation and automatic gain control.

Biamp Canvas is a system design control software package that allows system designers to create custom control surface GUIs for end user control of Tesira systems. In addition to maintaining all the great features of daVincitrade;, Biamp Canvas has a suite of expanded features such as drag and drop design programming, room combiner support, live updatable presets, and multiple auto-connect shortcuts. Available this summer, Biamp Canvas provides an array of drawing tools for extensive graphic manipulation of controls, backgrounds, and labeling, as well as the inclusion of images.

There will be presentations and demonstrations of Biamp Canvas in the Biamp booth (#1333) at InfoComm 2013 in Orlando. The ceiling microphones will also be installed and fully functional in the conference room portion of the booth.
