Biamp Vocia TTS-1nc text-to-speech server enables automation and prioritisation of critical paging messages
Biamp Systems’ Vocia TTS-1nc server has been selected in the ‘Most Innovative Audio Processing’ category

Biamp Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems, recently announced that its Vocia® TTS-1nc text-to-speech server is a finalist for the 2014 SCN InfoComm Installation Product Awards in the "Most Innovative Audio Processing" category. The SCN InfoComm Installation Product Awards showcase the most innovative commercial products that entered the market in 2013.

The Vocia TTS-1nc text-to-speech server with built-in software enables the automation and prioritisation of critical paging messages directly from nurse call systems in hospitals. Since the TTS-1nc operates over Ethernet and CobraNet® networks, users can create and manage courtesy announcements through a Web browser. Modular and scalable to support many zones and languages, the TTS-1nc constructs announcements based on user-defined templates, extending the power of a nurse call system to do more, thus streamlining systems and improving efficiencies.

"It's always an honor when our products earn industry recognition," said Steve Metzger, Biamp Systems President and CEO. "We're excited that Vocia is a finalist for the SCN Installation Product Awards, and believe it reflects our commitment to creating thoughtful and highly reliable products for our customers."

The winners of the 2014 SCN/InfoComm Installation Product Awards will be announced at the upcoming InfoComm 2014 show in Las Vegas.
