Electro-Voice and Bosch system provides Super-clear sound for live matches and performances
Bosch PLENA matrix controls up to eight zones from various audio input sources

Bosch and Electro-Voice (EV) sound systems are now installed at the Boomarang Cafe located along the Singapore River. The cafe has a relaxed, laid-back feel that is perfect for chilling by the river, enjoying Australian cuisine, and catching the latest sporting action broadcast live.

Having hosted events like the Singapore International Comedy Festival, Boomarang wanted to have the restaurant fitted with a sound system that will enhance their customers’ experience whether they are dining, watching sports, or a live performance. Bosch’s product reliability and product innovation were the deciding factors for Boomarang’s professional sound choice.

Boomarang requested for a dynamic sound system that can control six zones of sound equipment across the different areas of the restaurant. Each zone comprises seven audio sources: three for cable TV, two for EV microphones, and two for laptops.

The solution includes a Bosch PLENA matrix eight-channel DSP matrix mixer designed for maximum flexibility and reliability. It is ideal for almost any application that requires up to eight zones of quality audio, and is suitable for live music, background music, and announcements. To improve audio quality further, an EV Q44 amplifier was also installed to boost speaker performance.

Several TV screens share a single cable box which cause signal loss due to cable run. To overcome this problem, EV speakers and wireless microphone system were fitted together with EV APD-4+, LPA-500, UAA-500 antennas.

The flexibility of the Bosch and EV products allowed integration with Kramer HDMI matrix switchers and Crestron control systems, presenting Boomarang with the complete sound solution they needed. The installed solution is easy to use and manage, and the staff members at Boomarang can now operate the entire sound system wirelessly via an iPad. And, most importantly, the system ensures patrons enjoy a brilliant audio experience.
