A serial RS232 interface is connected to the Plena Public Address and Voice Alarm system |
In line with the latest European standards Bosch Security Systems offers a new “one-stop-shop” solution with fire and voice alarm integration to satisfy the growing demand and customer requirements within the safety segment.
The Bosch Fire Alarm systems use a serial RS232 interface which is connected to the Plena Public Address and Voice Alarm system. This is considered unique because of the single manufacturer source and the significant reduction of cabling and hardware costs. The RS 232 interface allows supervised control of up to 120 voice alarm triggers and ‘smart’ Voice Evacuation control via Bosch’s Fire Panel 1200 and the Modular Fire Panel 5000 Series.
A large-scale application comprising the Praesideo Public Address and Emergency Sound System and the Modular Fire Panel 5000 series can intercommunicate via the Building Integration System (BIS).This solution facilitates fast warning and phased evacuation in large building complexes in the event of fire.
Most important is that both the Praesideo and Plena Voice Alarm systems comply with the EVAC-IEC/EN 60849 standards. The Praesideo System also complies with the EN 54-16 and ISO 7240-16 standards. In addition, the Fire Panel 1200 and 5000 series comply with the pan-European EN 54-2 A1 and EN 54-4 A2 standards. Products and systems complying with EN standards guarantee a high level of performance beyond basic mandatory CE approval.
With the addition of the new Serial Interface, Bosch continues its policy of customer-oriented product and system development.
