Combined with a powered subwoofer, the new Dynacord active monitor can be used for the easy configuration of active three-way systems
The loudspeaker offers both clear and detailed monitoring as well as appropriate loudness

Dynacord is adding to its range a multi-functional and versatile active monitor with the AXM 12A. Appearing for the first time at the Prolight+Sound 2014, this new loudspeaker offers both clear and detailed monitoring as well as appropriate loudness to prevent exhaustion of a performer’s voice and additionally reconciles high SPL with compact dimensions and light weight. Thanks to its 33-degree tilt angle, the AXM 12A is ideal for smaller stages; but as a PA component, fill or delay speaker, the AXM 12A 12’’ powered monitor also represents an attractive sound reinforcement solution. Combined with a powered subwoofer, the new Dynacord active monitor can be used for the easy configuration of active three-way systems.

Whether art or entertainment, artists depend on constant reflection of their performance. Thanks to its coaxial 12”/1.75” chassis, the AXM 12A powered monitor boasts a first class coverage with an evenly spread 90° conical. The high efficiency of this transducer combined with the onboard 520W Class-D amplifier (360W Lo + 160W Hi) allow a maximum sound pressure level (SPL) of 128 dB.

The other features of the AXM 12A 12’’ powered monitor represent Dynacord’s response to the exacting demands of day-to-day live performance. They include integrated digital signal processing with IIR/FIR settings, a digital three-band equaliser (with parametric mids), an adjustable Low Cut and a sweepable feedback filter. Three audio inputs are available: two MIC/Line inputs on XLR/jack combo sockets (with individual phantom power option) and a stereo RCA (phone/cinch). The backlit liquid crystal display and push-button encoder represent a user-friendly interface and provide information on the levels of the three inputs. Five presets for monitoring and PA applications are provided, along with five more memories for user settings. For effective protection during transportation and use, the control panel is recessed.

Handles are provided for greater carrying comfort and easier setting-up of the powered monitor, which weighs less than 15 kilos. The cabinet of the AXM 12A is made from 15mm birch plywood with a structured coating and is furnished with a solid steel grille to guarantee reliable performance and durability despite the rigours of touring.

Even away from the stage, the AXM 12A’s versatility still shines: stand-mounted, the AXM 12A can serve as a compact yet powerful PA or to provide fill. The integrated delay function (for distances up to 100 metres in 0.1m increments) equips the AXM 12A to act as a delay loudspeaker. In addition, in combination with a powered subwoofer, an extremely compact, active three-way system can be created. A further practical detail: when stand mounted, the AXM 12A can be operated upright. The control panel, being on the side, is also accessible at all times.
