| Dynacord expands its vertical array loudspeaker family with addition of two new loudspeaker systems |
DYNACORD is expanding its Vertical Array loudspeaker family to include the two full-range boxes TS 100 and TS 200, which exhibit the production quality typical of goods “Made in Germany.”
Aimed at the premium market segment, both models are notable for their high sound pressure levels, excellent acoustic performance and versatility. Their application range includes both the reinforcement of live music and AV installations. Ultra-compact and equipped with high-quality components, the two-way systems deliver sound of outstanding intelligibility as well as achieving even, controlled dispersion over the entire frequency range.
Light aluminum cabinets make them sufficiently robust to survive the rigors of touring, whilst lending them at the same time an elegant appearance. All the speaker components are electronically protected from thermal overload. Linear-phase FIR (Finite Impulse Response) presets and presets for conventional digital controllers are available for both systems. The TS 100 and TS 200 models are supplied in a choice of black or white finishes. The range of accessories includes kits for both truss- and wall-mounting as well as a practical carrying bag. Particularly recommended for mobile use are system combinations with active DYNACORD subwoofers such as the PowerSub 312 or PSD 215.
TS 100 – full-range Vertical Array loudspeaker system
The TS 100 two-way, full-range box boasts power handling of 150W/RMS and is designed for a multitude of applications. Thanks to its unobtrusive appearance and outstanding acoustic performance, the box, which weighs a mere 7.1 kilos, is just as suitable for entertainment installations in bistros, clubs and restaurants as for AV applications in places such as conference halls, trade fair booths and hotels or for supplying front fill in the theater. Paired with a PowerSub 312, for example, the TS 100 makes for an extremely compact, light and yet powerful PA system. Its nominal impedance of 16 ohms makes the operation of up to eight TS 100 units by a single power amplifier channel possible. For the low-frequency range and midrange, a low-distortion DND 6130-16 neodymium chassis is employed, the high-frequency range being covered by a Constant Directivity HPT94 HF horn that can be rotated with supreme ease through 90 degrees for horizontal applications. Brilliant high-frequency reproduction is guaranteed by the Electro-Voice DH3 driver.
TS 200 – full-range Vertical Array loudspeaker system
The TS 200 two-way, full-range loudspeaker boasts power handling of 300W/RMS. Its high sound pressure and precisely controlled dispersion make the TS 200 the ideal system for a variety of applications: in mobile use as a medium-sized FOH system with passive or active subwoofers, full range, fill or delay in larger systems as well as in the field of fixed installation. Among the other features of the system, which weighs less than ten kilos, are the outstanding intelligibility of the sound it delivers—even in acoustically difficult rooms—and its slim, attractive appearance. The TS 200 loudspeaker system is equipped exclusively with high-quality components: For the low-frequency range and midrange, two low-distortion DND 6130-16 neodymium chassis in a vertical-array configuration are used, whilst the high-frequency range is served by an Electro-Voice DH3 driver in a Constant Directivity HPT94 HF horn that can be rotated with supreme ease through 90 degrees for horizontal applications. The integrated crossover is phase optimized and provides all the loudspeakers with electronic protection against thermal overload.
DYNACORD will be presenting the two full-range boxes TS 100 and TS 200 for the first time in public at the InfoComm MEA in Dubai (October 20-24, 2013).
