| Electro-Voice held an anniversary event at Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center |
Electro-Voice celebrated 30 years in China with an anniversary event held at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center. More than 200 people attended the ceremony, including management from Bosch (EV corporate ownership), architectural acoustics experts, important end-users, dealers, and journalists.
Mr. Fu Yunping, sales vice president of Bosch’s Security and Communications Systems divisions in China, and Mr. Rodger Dong, sales director, Communication Systems, delivered the opening speech for the ceremony. Mr. Bill Gelow, global engineering director of EV and Mr. Shi Min, a senior consultant, bore witness to EV’s 30 years in China, respectively presenting a history of the brand with both global and Chinese references. The whole experience was enhanced with a range of the latest EV sound systems.
The venue for the event - Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center - is one of EV’s biggest and most successful references in the region. Additionally, Guangzhou is the very place where EV entered the Chinese market in 1984, and continues to serve as an important gathering place for the pro-sound industry in China.
A high point of the night was a birthday cake-cutting with Bosch/EV management and the presentation of awards to long-time dealers and employees. All in all it was a great celebration of the brand’s presence China, one marked by consistently strong growth and an ongoing commitment to the industry and EV colleagues, customers, and partners – all looking forward to the next successful 30 years!
