Electro-Voice has gained substantial popularity with portable loudspeakers in the USA market, and that trend is continuing in the Asia Pacific region. Since 2011, Electro-Voice has introduced four new portable loudspeaker families – ZLX, ELX, EKX and ETX – that offer a best-in-class option at every price point.
On the 17th March 2016, Electro-Voice customers from the Asia Pacific region were invited to a two-day portable loudspeaker academy organised by the regional Electro-Voice office in Singapore. Held at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, 59 participants from India, Singapore, Myanmar, South Korea, Japan, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Indonesia enjoyed product training and demonstrations covering the commercial and technical aspects of Electro-Voice portable loudspeakers, presented by Edward Chia and Ronnie Lai respectively. This was the first academy of its kind held in the region, and was attended by Pierre Yves Mossman and Andrew Cho, Product Management Representatives from Electro-Voice HQ in Burnsville, Minnesota, USA.
During the technical training conducted by Ronnie Lai, Application and Design Manager for Asia Pacific, guests got a first-hand look at the unique features that set Electro-Voice portable loudspeakers apart in their category, including a demonstration of the cardioid subwoofer setting in EKX and ETX models, which limits excess bass output in undesired locations, such as on stage.
After the day’s programme was complete, guests were treated to an evening at the Racing Beer Club, which features an installation of ETX powered loudspeakers. The guests gave uniformly positive feedback for the academy and the hands-on partnership it demonstrates from the regional office. Electro-Voice would like to thank everyone who attended!
