Electro-Voice AV system helps create the right ambience for different events |
Located behind the main fire station on the edge of Fort Canning Park in Singapore, the Registry of Marriage has been officially uniting couples for many decades. So when the former Chief of the Central Fire Station’s colonial quarters were recently converted into a new restaurant, it also managed to adopt the theme of fusion into its doctrine. Located within walking distance of the registry office, the stylish Lewin Terrace is now enticing newlyweds along the park’s path with its blend of French-Japanese cuisine.
Procom Engineering was called upon to deliver an AV solution for the restaurant’s multi-functional needs, including the hosting of daily lunch and dinner services, private functions and wedding parties. “We elected to install Electro-Voice loudspeakers in zones throughout the venue, featuring a number of volume presets that correspond to party size and time of day, explains business development manager Adrian Ng.”
The quieter left- and right-wing zones are served by EVID 3.2 dual-3.5-inch two-way surface-mounted loudspeakers, whilst the veranda, main dining room, and private function room are catered for by more powerful ZX1i-90 eight-inch, two-way loudspeakers. In addition, two ZXA1-Sub single-12-inch powered subwoofers can be used for events that require extended lower frequency audio. The incoming electrical current is fed to a rack of seven Q66 amplifiers, and the restrooms and adjacent bridal room are served by EVID C4.2 four-inch, two-way coaxial ceiling speakers.
