A darling of the Kuala Lumpur night scene, Frangipani Restaurant & Bar is a two-floor establishment with a fine dining area on the ground floor and lounge on the second floor. The lounge spins house music while serving some of the city's finest cocktails. The design and setting of the bar is akin to a tropical resort and is an excellent escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
To fill both the lounge area and bar with crystal clear sound, high-quality professional loudspeakers were required for two distinct reasons: to play ambient music for the lounge area and to provide powerful sound to heat up the dance floor at the bar.
Electro-Voice/Bosch distributor AV Electronics Marketing Sdn Bhd (AVEM) presented a complete solution to the restaurant management, who were already familiar with EV sound quality – in particular the EVID series.
EVID 4.2 surface-mount loudspeakers powered by Q66 amplifiers were installed in the lounge area and both Live X and EVID surface-mount speakers (ELX112, ELX118, EVID 4.2) were installed at the bar area. EVID surface-mount loudspeakers distribute music consistently throughout the whole area, while the Live X loudspeakers located at the four corners of the dance floor pump up the beat and bring the bar to life.
