EV ETX powered loudspeakers were recommended to be added to the existing sound system

Electro-Voice now powers sound at NewEight Live House, located in the southern part of Tokyo (Kamata, Ota ward). Originally a night club, the owner decided to convert the venue into a multi-purpose space for live performances, focusing on rock, jazz, blues and folk music. One of the largest live houses in the area, NewEight can house up to 150 people and is fully equipped with EV professional sound systems to cater to the various genres of music and performances.

Spearheading the project, independent general producer, Shinichi Kurasaka, together with veteran sound designer Katsumi Hagita sought to look for the perfect sound design that fit NewEight. It was then where Mr. Hagita chanced upon Tomoca Electronics, an incorporated entity and retail shop in Akihabara for professional sound electric parts and instruments.

Based on the layout and design of the venue, Tomoca Electronics recommended the EV ETX powered loudspeakers, starring the premium range of EV portable speakers to be added to the existing EV sound system. The ETX powered loudspeakers leverage on technologies from EV concert and touring systems. It narrows the gap between professional touring systems and portable loudspeakers, delivering excellent sound projection without compromise.

The power and flexibility that comes with these ETX speakers along with the ZX1 speakers and Q66 amplifiers add to the quality of live performances to all audiences, from the front, all the way to the rear of the venue.

The recommendation of how EV ETX can fit into their existing sound system triggered Mr. Hagita and Mr. Kurasaka’s decision to purchase EV ETX from Tomoca Electronics, distributed by STJP.

The spacious venue powered by EV sound has been packed to the brim since its opening and is looking forward to keep entertaining its patrons with only the best music performances.
