The expert panel will discuss AV distribution trends by taking close look at emerging technologies, application, and best practices |
Biamp Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems, recently announced that Biamp Systems’ Product Manager Chris Fitzsimmons will be taking part in a panel discussion titled “AV Distribution: Straight Facts, What You Need to Know” at InfoComm Connections 2015. Moderated by AV Technology magazine’s editorial director, Margot Douaihy, the session will take place on March 4 at 10:15 a.m. in Meeting Room 230C of the San Jose Convention Center.
Within the context of the InfoComm Connections education sessions, the expert panel will discuss the facts of today’s AV distribution trends by taking a close look at the market’s emerging technologies, application, best practices, and practical case studies such as the recent AV and IT integration throughout the San Jose State University campus. Other topics will include networked media distribution, AVB and Time Sensitive Networks (TSN), distributing 4K and UHD signals, network audio protocols, and AV over IP. Fitzsimmons will be joined by Mark Berlo, project manager, Integrated Communication Systems; Jason Eatmon, vice president, Development Group Inc; Pete Putman, president, ROAM Consulting; and Paul Zielie, manager of Enterprise Solutions, AMX by Harman.
“The implementation of distributed AV raises many challenges when considering the wide range of network protocols, application environments, and networked solutions that are available,” said Fitzsimmons. “As a leader in audio and networked media systems education, Biamp is honoured to be part of such a dynamic panel, and we look forward to an informative discussion on how to address some of the common distribution challenges faced in the AV community.”
As a product manager for Biamp, Fitzsimmons is part of the team that oversees the strategy, development, and promotion of the company’s award-winning networked media systems. Fitzsimmons, who previously served as founding editor of a leading professional AV publication, brings unique insights and valuable perspective to the panel.
