CVS 4 Micro  maintains the sonic performance that customers expect from Tannoy loudspeaker systems

Responding to an increasing demand in an evolving marketplace, leading loudspeaker manufacturer Tannoy is introducing a number of EN 54 compliant variants of its existing best-selling commercial install products.

EN 54 is the European Standard for voice alarm and fire alarm system applications, and this announcement will see specific versions of Tannoy’s CVS and DVS Series models being made available which are fully tested for compliance with EN 54 standards, for specification in the increasing number of projects that require this.

The new EN 54 versions of the in-ceiling CVS 4 Micro, CVS 4, CVS 6, and the wall mounted DVS 4t and the DVS 6t take advantage of the latest technologies available to comply with the latest legislation, as well as maintaining the hallmark of build quality and sonic performance that customers have come to expect from Tannoy loudspeaker systems.

While both ranges utilise the same class-leading co-axial drive technology, the compact blind-mount CVS Series devices are perfect for ceiling-mount applications where sound quality, reliability, ease of install and cost are all balanced considerations, while the DVS models provide that same sonic performance and value, packaged in a stylish surface-mount format.

“CVS and DVS are now well established as great sounding, highly reliable products suitable for a wide range of applications,” said Mark Copeland, Product Manager for Tannoy. “We’re delighted to add EN 54 compliance to the list of safety ratings already available, which in turn, demonstrates our strong commitment to match our product features and benefits with the specific needs of our European customer base.”
