PCSA hosted the largest Electro-Voice and Dynacord Demo Day ever seen in Plymouth. Gary Platts, head of full service audio-visual company PCSA, welcomed over 50 end-users to the event held at The Elfordleigh Hotel Golf and Country Club. Guests included solo artists and bands as well as representatives of the local university.
Supported by Sean Maxwell (Sales Director UK) and Arthur Achard (Sales Consultant Bosch ProSound UK), the programme of the evening included live demos of a wide selection of Dynacord and Electro-Voice PA and monitor products. Amongst them: Dynacord’s AXM 12A powered monitor and Vertical Array system as well as EV’s ETX powered loudspeaker, ZLX and Live X series. To demonstrate the systems both with playback music as well as in a live setting, Platts brought in Russell Sinclair & The Smokin’ Locos. The Plymouth-based blues band demonstrated all systems live, thanks to the addition of an Electro-Voice NetMax digital matrix system controller and IRIS-Net software. “By linking the systems to the NetMax controller via IRIS-Net, we were able to flick from one system to another while the band was playing,” recalls Platts.
The system that drew the most attention from the visitors was EV’s ETX powered loudspeaker series. “To be honest, this didn’t come as too much of a surprise,” says Sean Maxwell. “The ETX is incredible. It combines intelligent technology and innovative design with superior power and performance. And delivers spectacular results across all applications.” Praise not only came from the demo guests but also from the band itself: “They used the new AXM 12A monitors during their gig – and absolutely loved them.”
“The event was an absolute success,” confirms Gary Platts. “We presented each system in its entirety and also allowed time for questions and further information. Additionally, everyone could reset the systems according to their personal taste. All in all, it was a really great day. Everyone left fully versed in what great systems Electro-Voice and Dynacord have to offer.”
