The Expo Milano 2015 theme is “Feeding the Planet – Energy for Life” |
Yamaha Corporation will be sponsoring and providing pro audio equipment for the Japan Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015 to be held in Milan, Italy, for 184 days from May 1 through October 31.
The Expo Milano 2015 theme is “Feeding the Planet – Energy for Life”. The Japan Pavilion exhibit will be based on the concept of “Harmonious Diversity,” introducing Japan’s approach to agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, and the food and culture they support. The exhibit zone will feature state-of-the-art interactive technology in a sophisticated blend of art and entertainment, a restaurant will allow guests to enjoy genuine Japanese cuisine, and an event zone will host municipalities and organisations from all around Japan.
The selection of universal sound design support system “Hospitality Guide” for use at the Expo Milano 2015 Japan Pavilion led to the adoption of Yamaha Commercial Installation Solutions audio equipment for the exhibit zone and other areas. Signal processors that can efficiently manage the multiple inputs and outputs required by various exhibits, advanced digital audio networking, and other features that contribute to pleasing music playback and clear announcements provide optimal support for the pavilion’s innovative displays.
Industry-leading audio equipment
Since its establishment in 1887, Yamaha has continued to deliver not only innovative musical instruments but industry-leading audio equipment as well. The first live sound mixer, the PM200, was introduced in 1972, and in 1987 the DMP7 digital mixer was released. The ground-breaking features and capabilities of both of these products gave rise to major advances in mixing styles. And then in 2001 the PM1D, an all-digital console specifically designed for large-scale sound reinforcement, astonished the industry with unprecedented signal processing technology, refined features, and solid reliability that quickly made it a de-facto standard at concerts and theatres around the world.
In recent years the Yamaha Nuage Advanced Production System has gained broad acceptance for movie and media production, and our MTX series matrix processors, XMV series power amplifiers, and VXS/VXC series speakers have become favourites for commercial installations. The newest flagship offering for large-scale sound reinforcement, the RIVAGE PM10 console system, is scheduled to be released this year. Innovation never ceases at Yamaha. The company is dedicated to delivering superior sound and music solutions today and into the future.
